*"Don't Be That Way" was composed by Edgar Sampson.

Sampson an alto saxophonist and arranger introduced the composition during his time as a member of Chick Webb's Orchestra. The following year their Decca recording reached number twenty on the Billboard charts. In 1938 the tune became a number one hit for Benny Goodman.
