This record was made by Fletcher Henderson and his Orchestra in New York City on April 8, 1936.
The Orchestra on this date consisted of: Joe Thomas and Roy Eldridge, trumpets; Dick Vance, trumpet and vocals; Fernando Arbello and Ed Cuffee, trombones; Buster Bailey and Jerome Pasquall, clarinet and alto sax; Elmer Williams and Chu Berry, tenor sax and clarinet; Horace Henderson, piano; Bob Lessey, guitar; Israel Crosby, bass; Sidney Catlett, drums.
*The pianist Horace Henderson is in fact Fletcher Henderson's younger brother a great composer and arranger in his own right who often filled in for Fletcher in his absence.
*Although he remained the less famous of the two, Horace is considered by many to be more talented brother and has written arrangements for Charlie Barnet, the Casa Loma Orchestra, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Earl Hines, and Jimmie Lunceford and may others over the span of his career.
