In this clip from the 1942 film Tales of Manhattan, comedian, Eddie "Rochester Anderson" parades around performing his version of "Sharp As A Tack."
As his best known character "Rochester" he played a valet on both, Jack Benny's radio and television programs.
The lead female dancer is Katherine Dunham, an accomplished dancer and choreographer.
In addition the band includes Slim Gaillard, piano; and Slam Stewart, bass.
