In this clip from the film "New Faces of 1937" the The Three Chocolateers; Eddie West, Paul Black and Albert Gibson make their screen debut. A novelty group called the Four Playboys (dressed as chefs) provide mimicked trumpet vocal chorus. Halfway through their performance, out strolls Apollo girl Nicky O'Daniel.
*The Three Chocolateers began doing their "Peckin'" routine in 1934 in black clubs, including the Savoy.
*The music and lyrics for "Peckinī" were written by Ben Pollack and Harry James in 1936 with additional lyrics by Eddie Cherkose added the following year.
*The musical arrangement for "Peckin'" became a hit that year for Benny Goodman.
